Delta Hands for Hope

To empower all children to have the education, leadership skills, and abilities to succeed.

VOLUNTEER

There are several ways individuals, churches and organizations can participate at Delta Hands for Hope. One key component to our missions philosophy is our partnerships. We are committed to real partnership, which is always reciprocal. Within the Delta Hands for Hope partnership, we emphasize the dignity of all individuals and recognize the strengths and gifts God has given all of us. Because of this, Delta Hands for Hope wants to match strengths to strengths. How can you or your church/organization use your strengths to empower Delta Hands for Hope, and likewise, how can Delta Hands for Hope use our strengths to empower you or your church/organization? Here are some ways we try to answer those questions.

Tutor a Child

We need tutors for our after school homework center. During the school year, students in grades 5-12 can come after school until 5pm for help with homework, projects, or studying. We need committee volunteers that can work with our students and help them be the best learners they can be!

CONSTRUCTION Projects

There are many construction projects that need to be done at our building and through the community. We have projects for people that have skilled training, and we have construction projects that our youth can help with!

MIssion trip

We have been so blessed by so many churches over the past couple of years, who have come to Shaw on a mission trip. These churches have partnered with our local churches to offer VBS camps for the town, hosted town-wide carnivals, worked with our partner Tutoring Center, worked with locals in beautification projects, and provided technical skills in light construction. If you are considering a mission trip, please consider Delta Hands for Hope.
